Witches Riding Broomsticks ~ Acrostic
Witches Riding Broomsticks
Witches
In stitches
Tossing
Corn cobs
High
Even toadstools
Shiver
Riding
In between
Darkness
Invisible only to the
Naked
Ghosts
Breathing
Rapidly
Over an
Orange moon that
Moans
Softly
Towards an
Illusion
Coated with
Kerosene
Screams

Sweet Little Cats ~ Humorous
~Sweet little cats~
Look at the couple of sweet little cats
Two sisters licking each other’s backs
As close to one another as siblings can be
A kiss of wet noses whenever they greet
Hunting gray mousies that squeak in dismay
Begins a wonderful start to each kitty’s day
Paws bat at butterflies which dip from the sky
While feet spring on shadows, ready for flight
Mischievous glances for the neighbour’s pet dog
Brings out loud hisses from either side of the log
Come play a quick game of catch me, if you can
Sneaking from places which they can defend
Sometimes long lazy naps will end in a cinch
Meowing in protest when tails get a pinch
How dare they disturb quiet slumber tonight
Onto the carpet, claws soon cause some frights
Bonded by nature this clever duo with soft fur
Displays all their charms when they let out a purr
Warming the laps of kind hearts guided by love
Cats offer true friendship like Angels above

The Light ~ Inspirational

~The Light~
On a pillow of clouds
her thoughts lie still
she wonders in dreams
as moments do fill
The times that she worried
the ones that were cast
only served for his purpose
to make matters last
May all of your worries
float upon wings
that soar up to heaven
for Angels to bring
The light, the light
shall shine from above
for those who believe
in the power of love

Sunlight Dance ~ Inspirational
Sunlight Dance
I see the sunlight dance
To it’s musical ballet
Skimming soft on golden tips
With pirouetted waves
Swaying to restful melodies
That sing beneath seashore
Displays of gentle sparkled rays
Squint through diamonds poured
Multi-faceted shimmers melt
And drip languid from the heat
Dewdrops beat their rhythm low
Where harmonies can reach
Upon cool water’s beckoning
This silent curtain falls
Draped among blue centre stage
Awash in nature’s call
Listen for those hidden notes
When ripples play a song
They bring forth God’s serenity
As whispers drift along

Without Moon ~ Romantic
I wrote this poem in October 2006.
Darkness drips like wine
Staining a carpet of trees
All dressed up tonight
In blankets dyed burgundy
Naked without moon
I see twilight beneath stars
Tinted pale maroon
Which stretches the sky apart
Silently through dawn
As ripples wash over glass
Nightfall passes on
And splinters into our past
Day begins once more
This cycle that never ends
Crystal raindrops pour
So magic can dream again

My Poetry Home

This is the place where I will be posting my poetry that I have been writing for almost five years. I mainly write inspirational, some humorous and many romantic poems. I joined an online Photo Haiku place five years ago, where I dabbled with the conventional prose of Haiku Poetry in combination of viewing a photo. (thus the name "Photo Haiku")
Many of my poetry has developed after I have written a Photo Haiku, but many are from my observations of the world around me. Please sit awhile in a comfy place and take a moment or two to enjoy my work. Comments are always appreciated, but not mandatory.
Disclaimer: All poetry written on this site is my own work. Writing poems is a release for me in my sometimes hectic world. Please ask for my permission if you would like to share my poems with others. Thank you.
Always, Rose~*
