I am slowly adding some of my Haiku poems that were on a Japanese web site, and will try to include the original photo, also. When I work with my laptop computer, I have limited space for photos, and many are on my desktop - so please bear with me.
Pink rose keeps secrets
folded carefully inside
delicate paper
Black Suede Night (fantasy)
Black Suede Night
The golden rays
shimmer at twilight
When waters romance
cool silvery nights
Soft like butter
which spreads across
Starry black caverns
sueded in moss
Hush of desire
leads this heart
Upon secret journey
toward hallowed stars
A breathless whisper
catches your hues
With lingering rainfall
that’s magically blue
Waves silently beckon
an urgent escape
As breezes encounter
dark windowless space
Taking no chances
on willowy strings
Our sudden departure
rides glittering wings
Music is everywhere
lover’s dreams - sigh
Forsaking all Heaven
to unforgettable eyes
Such powerful mystery
you always possess
Leaves invisible footprints
inside my crevasse

Cherries - Summer Poem
Cherries
As I bite into
the juicy flesh
my senses tingle
sweet and succulent
Excitement I taste
drops of ecstasy
this needing more
is overwhelming me
Upon my lips
soft and round
treat is consumed
I’m heaven bound
Thoughts of perfection
fill my head
dreaming of cherries
shaded in red

Photo Haiku sadness

Can you imagine
what an Angel's wing feels like
close enough to touch
At the beginning of this journal, I mentioned that I had participated in a Photo Haiku site from Japan for almost 6 years. Today, I found out that the site will only be in Japanese from now on, and all of the poets who submitted their poems in English will be removed on April 30, 2009. I will thus be adding most of my Haiku from their site, but mainly without the accompanying photos, as I believe the copyright belongs to the photographer, not the Haiku artist. :::SIGH:::

Total Eclipse of the Heart
Where for art thou my handsome prince
seeking gold on a night like this
Hidden beneath the pale moon sky
under shadows of black and white
Do you search for your maiden fair
the one with lilies in her hair
Or do you wish for other things
a horse perhaps on tethered strings
Have you seen all the stars tonight
writing your name with candlelight
Look how they twinkle just for you
as my heart creates songs, in blue
I dance towards the midnight sea
which plays our sapphire melody
And wait in silence for your kiss
wrapped around the total eclipse
