Cherries - Summer Poem
Cherries
As I bite into
the juicy flesh
my senses tingle
sweet and succulent
Excitement I taste
drops of ecstasy
this needing more
is overwhelming me
Upon my lips
soft and round
treat is consumed
I’m heaven bound
Thoughts of perfection
fill my head
dreaming of cherries
shaded in red

The last two verses held me within the spell of summer that was woven by by your words.
I apologise for having to remove my previous comment as it was not worthy of this poem.
